Kimberly SMith

As an Ivy League trained attorney, Kimberly advised companies navigating the complex regulatory world of the health care industry, but growing up, Kimberly always had a passion for fashion and beauty. “I can remember being one of the few girls who always wore heels and a full face of make up to class on my college campus,” says Kimberly. “Expressing myself through different hairstyles, make-up, and fashion, has always been fun for me.”

Almila Kakinc-Dodd

Almila Kakinc-Dodd is the Founder, Editor-in-Chief of The Thirlby. She is also the author of the book The Thirlby: A Field Guide to a Vibrant Mind, Body, & Soul. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Nursing as a Dean’s Scholar at John’s Hopkins University.

Her undergraduate is in Anthropology & Literature from Mount Holyoke College, which she has further enriched through her Integrative Health Practitioner training at Duke University.

She lives in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area, where she regularly contributes to various publications. She is a member of Democratic Socialists of America and urges others to join the movement.

ALMILA KAKINC-DODD

Angelina Klouthis currently works as the Executive Director of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation (VFF USA). Her belief in harnessing the power of the market to drive philanthropy from “spare change to real change” guides strategic partnerships. She is exploring innovative solutions to end poverty in India through connections with individuals and businesses to create social value. 

She has a BA in International Relations from Florida International University, a Post-Graduate Specialization in Organizations, Social Responsibility, and Development: International Development from the Universidad de los Andes.

Elisabeth is a creative designer, musician and artist who has been traveling the world since birth, including to developing countries. She gets excited about songwriGloria Cid Gerlach in charge of managing and monitoring the existing alliances with foundations and international organizations based in the US. “la Caixa” Banking Foundation is one of the largest foundations in Europe which supports and carries out activities related to society, education, culture and science. In 2018 promoted almost 50,000 activities, benefitting more than 11 million people in Spain and around the world. “la Caixa” Foundation has been collaborating with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation since 2001.ting, pretty places and experiencing new cultures.

ELISABETH HUIJSKENS

Elisabeth Huijskens is a female equality activist, public speaker, and writer living in Washington, D.C. She is the Founder and Vice President of Trades of Hope, a socially conscious fashion brand that empowers women and alleviates poverty around the world. She started the brand to create global equality and a long term solution to developing communities in 16 countries. When she isn’t encouraging women or working on her MA in Social Change and Advocacy, she is blogging on her digital platform, elisabethhuijskens.com, or brunching with her girlfriends. Elisabeth has a special fondness for stealing away to new countries, following fashion trends, eating Thai food and cuddling with her King Charles puppy.
